Update: I’ve decided to go with GrapheneOS instead.

I’ve been thinking about upgrading my old iPhone SE 2016 to the new iPhone SE. My current phone has some battery issues, and it’s only 16gb. Even though I rarely take photos and have only a few apps, I’m out of storage, because the new iOS takes up so much space. This post will list the pros and cons of upgrading.

Pros

• More storage capacity
• Faster processor
• Better battery life
• Better camera
• Fast charging
• Waterproof
• iOS will probably stop updating on the 2016 SE soon, so might as well upgrade now and also have a nicer phone

Cons

• Have to spend $400
• No headphone jack
• Creates more toxic waste
• Supports the removal of the headphone jack and other e-waste BS

Neutral

• Slightly larger screen size

Will I do it?

I guess I’m still not sure.
